Whether we finish fourth or not, this is still the best season that the club has ever witnessed since the Premier League began. The only place we fell too short of our target was in the FA Cup. We pushed United all the way to the semi, and as we head into April we're still in the running for the Champions League.

If some at least 2 of those 7 drawn games under Hughes had been wins, then we'd probably have fourth spot almost secured. Sprus are the favourite by a long shot, with City and Villa slightly behind. But not only are we pushing for fourth, but we are likely to finish above Liverpool this season, which depsite Liverpool's recent form, is something to be immsenly proud of.

Eh? There's only 92 clubs in the league. I don't remember us playing in the bottom division. The lowest I can remember us being is 12th (?) after the York away game during that nightmare season. We're 5th at the moment, so that equals 15 Premiership places plus 24 Championship places plus 12 League 1 places. By my dodgy maths, I make that 51 places higher than we were at our lowest ebb.

Its a fair point suspensions and injuries hit the club hard and affect results.

So what have we had this season, very few injuries and kind referees so no suspensions.

Quite of number of Everton fans have said to me in the past that if Moyes is ever presented with the opportunity to spend the sort of money we have he wouldn't know what to do.

He's a manager who likes to work the way he does and he likes to manage a certain type of player one he is more comfortable with.
