They feared us and setup an attacking side that was too scared to attack, that is where Pep had this game won before it had even started.

Fair enough you park the bus and block it up but why setup to attack and don't attack? Very strange for a Mourinho team not to know what it is doing.

I've seen that, and if that's not some blue on the piss take, then this sad fucker typifies the overwhelming majority of their fan base.
Grew up, in Manchester, for fucks sake, supported the Dippers because they were winning a bit, then switched to the Rags when they started sliding.
This sort of wanker should not be allowed out without a carer.
Clearly a piss take.

Haha that has to be a blue on a wind up, doesn’t it?

It’s best to read it aloud with a Cockney accent.

It has to be one of us on the WUM ;)

It had nothing to do with Uniteds shambolic performance..... give a little credit to the city performance, we pressed them into submission which resulted in there inability to keep hold of the ball or invariably go long...

Don't underestimate the impact sterling playing through the middle had on them, it totally flummoxed there back line and they were scared to death of gabby and sane running at them, I lost count the amount of time they panicked and launched it forward..

That 'fucking about' on the edge of the box afforded us the ability to shift there back line all over the show and pin back the fullbacks, it's called wearing them down!
Exactly. They started playing well when they went 1-0 down and looked dangerous, but let's not forget that between the two goals, it was only two bad passes that stopped us potentially scoring two more on the counter. If they'd played like that from the start, we would've absolutely dicked them.

This guy used to work in home bargains in Clayton but I think he works in the droylsden one now. Used to see him in there all the time

Ha ha brilliant!! If I lived local I would go in and wind him up. " Home bargains? No mate sorry not interested I looked in your old Trafford store on Sunday nothing good enough!" The bloke at the end had it right if we had taken our chances it could have been ,6-1 again.

That tackle he made on Lukaku was world class. When we defend deep I don’t think he’s bad, when we play high up the pitch that’s where I think he’s exposed. He’ll play vs Swansea/spurs probably and I really hope he can put in some decent performances because he seems like a nice lad.

I think he's class when he plays against strong strikers and players that aren't mobile. Think he'll do good for us in the next 2 games.

Watching MOTD this morning, right before Sterling's chance in the first half, when De Bruyne takes the ball off Rashford to me it certainly seems Rashford goes well over the top of the ball a la Pogba on Kev's ankle.

I'd appreciate if anyone could link or gif to the incident.

Looking at Red Cafe, quite a few of their fans have convinced themselves that there’s not much between the teams, and that they would’ve won if Pogba was available. Maybe it’s just bravado, but even the most myopic red should be able to see the gulf in quality and intent between the sides today. It was chalk and cheese.

Let's hope their board think that.

Tbh, I thought we played "OK". Our ball retention was in the main good, with just the odd stay pass. But we didn't half fuck about at the edge of their penalty area. Far too much of our usual "to you", "no, to you", "no you", "oh bugger, I seem to have been tackled". Or alternatively just running into opponents and hoping the ball bounces favourably. I was uninspired for most of the match in this respect. And Sane on the right for most of the game?

What won it for us, was that the rags were nothing short of terrible. They had a go for about 5 minutes, but other than that, just sat back and let us control the game. Shocking performance from them. And not meaning to come over ragish, but they are a lot better than that. They played terribly.

We played well in the circumstances. A match of such potential significance is always likely to have some sort of detrimental effect on performance. I think our players were trying to hard not to get it wrong in their box.

The most impressive thing for me was how well City fought for that victory: the effort was outstanding.

We do need to make life easier for ourselves in the next few games by being clinical early in those games.

I thought Sterling was magnificent, he caused them untold problems and played with a lot intelligence in that false nine kind of role. Pep should be getting huge kudos for his game plan.

i think my phone network must've gone down about 7pm last night.
i received one text just after the final whistle that read simply, "bastards!",
but since then i haven't heard a thing from any of the rags i know.

one thing's for certain,
if they'd won i would still be being bombarded with gloating texts.
i'm sure it must be hurting 'em even more that i haven't sent any.

happy days.

They were actually scared, from manager, the team, the rats, each and every one of them.

Fear factor increasing week by week.

And that is so important.

I don't think we have ever really achieved the position where opponent after opponent is beaten before they step on the park in the way that both Liverpool and United have managed in the past but we might actually be getting there. I think the next two games will be telling on this matter.
