Vaccination Passport | Fans will be denied entry without valid NHS pass

Nothing stops the spread, it is about reducing it by a few standard deviations. We had the same with crash helmets and seat belts.
Not wearing a seat belt only puts you at risk. Not others.
If reducing the risk is the goal I have no issue with LFT for everyone.
Why would someone with a covid passport who can still spread covid (although apparently less likely but still can) be allowed to enter the ground without a LFT?

LFT before the game. Confirms you don't have covid. Enter the ground. End of.

Vaccinated but no LFT. No conformation you don't have covid but can enter the ground.

So, the issue here isn't stopping people who have covid. It's setting the precedent for a covid passport.

But if the covid passport doesn't prevent the spread. And the reason for it is to stop the spread. Then there's another reason here.

Vaccination passports. Enforced through fear and a complete lack of logic. So why? If not to stop the spread because it doesn't. Then why?

Its a further attempt to try and get more people to take up the vaccine. It won’t work though, the only way it would is if they did just enforce vaccination passport as the only means of entry.

If I had to wear a mask at a match, I would stay at home and watch on TV. My glasses steam up with a mask and I wouldn't see much without them.
Nonsense. Poor excuse mate.
I suggest you adjust how you wear your mask and glasses or maybe change the type of mask you wear.
I have to wear a mask all day with glasses at work and have managed to do so perfectly well for the last 20yrs.
Neurosurgeons don’t have a problem with it either.

People are putting themselves at risk by going to the match, they know the rules and it is an informed choice.

The LFT is done on trust, with zero proof. The alternative is going back to 10k and distancing.

Not wearing a seatbelt did kill others sometimes as people in the back would hurtle into people in the front, or just sideways clashing heads. I know someone who died after a spin on the M66 on the 80s due to clashing head, and it was only caused by a puncture.

If that's the case then the LFT on entry is flawed so should be scrapped.
But the passport is also flawed as you can still spread it.

This won't last long.

The thing is, the ground staff are all on minimum wage and just want to get home in one piece. Therefore they won't give a stuff about these rules, won't check anyone for any of this nonsense, and when it hits five mins before kick off they'll let everyone pile in anyway. Like always. And more power to them, because teenagers on minimum wage shouldn't have to stand in the freezing cold and deal with angry football fans over their failure to provide pointless documents that don't prevent the virus from spreading anyway.

The sheer size of the absolute chasm between the people in offices coming up with these rules and the minimum wage staff being asked to enforce them cannot be underestimated. Masks are once again being "required" in shops. So off I trot to Asda with my mask on. Not one member of staff was wearing a mask in the whole shop. For rules to be enforced properly you have to make sure that the staff want them to be enforced at all, which they don't. So good luck!

And neither do the public! Bars are still rammed, cinemas are still sold out, football stadiums are still packed, public transport is still full up at peak times, people still travelling round the world. People trust vaccines over behavioural restrictions, and rightly so. Our next home game is on Boxing Day. The stewards will probably have a "training day" beforehand where they'll be given the directive, so they'll make a show of it. Then we'll all go back in the new year and the staff will go back to simply waving us through.

yeah agree, the checks will be done thoroughly on Boxing Day so I’ll be getting there early

Not wearing a seatbelt in the back of a car puts the front seat passenger at risk You could also argue it puts at risk the emergency services and takes up valuable medical resources
