I feel like I could write extensively on this after the day's events.

But regardless of whether it was or was not right to sack Mark Hughes, the owners and everyone else involved in the decision making process should understand that the way it was done is totally at odds with the values of a family/community orientated football club.

I was at the game but could not appreciate the sadness that was so evident in his face when you see the MotD footage.

The results have not been good enough. The players do not seem to have been playing for him in recent games. But, but - there is a way of dealing with it and then there is this.

You do not treat a consumate professional and dignified man in this way.

I'm not proud to be a City fan tonite. And I'd like to know who within the club structure is responsible for leaving me with this shitty feeling.

Because it is they that should be shown the door.

He's never going to be smiling when he's been sacked. However, the multi-million pound payoff may soften the blow. He'll survive. Tis big business now, not a family club.

Amongst the shower of pure shite that has been spouted (by both sides) on this forum tonight, that's a great post, and sums up my feelings too.

Cheers MH, you did your best, and I apologise for the treatment you got.
We'll see how we do with Mancini, I hope we do kick on to great things.

I'm going to sleep on this one.

Oh for Gods sake get a grip! I'd getting incredibly bored of people writing this crap about how Hughes should have been treated better. Can you please tell me how he should have been sacked whilst maintaining the values of a community orientated club.

Hang on, how are they meant to do it?

I am afraid it's their club and their money they are investing, they can do what they want, I was not a Hughes outer, however there is no easy way to do it, they thought he was not up to the job, and perhaps they were right, Hughes will have known this was going to happen all along
