Van der Sar's Wife Seriously ill

horrible news, he's a nice guy is VDS, my uncle met him in a bowling alley when he was supposed to be injured! My uncle(a blue) only had kind words for him. Get well soon.
 
My mum suffered a brain haemorrhage. The doctors told us that only 1 in 10 make it to the hospital alive, so the fact that she has made it there is positive.

It is then a case of wait and see what the long term effects will be. It affected the section of my mum's brain that controlled her memory, but she was still able to live life, if not to its full until she was taken by the big C (not related of course).

So I am glad to say that the outlook is likely to be positive. Having been there, I would not wish this on any one and I am proud of the fans' responses on here.

Good luck to the Van Der Sar family. My thoughts are definitely with you.

Sad news, hope she makes a speedy and full recovery. Good to see so many blues wishing the Van der Sar family well, events like this put things in perspective.
 
I know there was all that sparring between the clubs over the "noisy neighbours" issue, but this news reminds us that its all a load of old nonsense really. Some things are much more important & I hope (and fully expect) that the club have been very quick to be "noisy" in sending the club's (and our) best wishes to the player & his family.

God bless them all & lets hope she makes a speedy recovery.
