I've never heard him being called Vansont before, so why have ITV started that today?

'Azar' instead of hazard was annoying me today as well. You are not French, nor am I so please say it without the stupid accent.

Was it not Peter Reid who insisted 'Michelle' Vonk was called Michael. He said in interview there are no Michelle's at this club.
Tyler called him "Vansont" when he scored against United.
I can't believe today was the first time you'd heard it.
As for "Azar", I'll always call him Hazard, but for a commentator, they have to try and pronounce the players names correctly, I'd imagine it's a fundamental. Plus, it's not just an accent, it's how it's actually pronounced.

There are plenty of players in our team who have their names pronounced incorrectly every week on MOTD.
De Jong (Dee youngg) and David Silva (Dabveed Seelbva) immediately spring to mind.

He`s still Vinny for me.
I'm Belgian and credit to Tyler for the effort, but that thick English accent does him no favours. He's fucking those names up in English and in their native tongues this way.
With Vincent he's making the syllables way to long butchering it. Don't get me even started on Hazard. A silent H doesn't mean you completely ignore it and go straight to the A making it sound like Huzzah.
