Var debate 2019/20

They are still giving them penalties!! That’s the point. The technology is here and they refuse to use it properly

maybe a couple have slipped a net. But have we really seen many clear pathetic dives given as penalty’s this season ??
It was happening week in week out last year.

I couldn’t tell you numbers, but with the technology none should slip through the net should they? If they do what reason is there for them slipping through? What’s the point in the technology?

It really was , most prominently Salah and Liverpool. They were awarded loads of pens through ridiculous diving - has Salah even had one penalty given for a dive this season ? That’s got to be a record for him.
That's the wrong question to ask. The question is how many penalties and points have Liverpool been given from dives this season? Three points from Leicester after a dive, a Crystal Palace goal chalked off against them for a dive, three points gifted to them against Chelsea and Villa too (I'm not sure if they were from dives or not now, I've lost interest but I just remember they were 'interesting' decisions). Salah stopped being awarded as many dives towards the end of the season last year too as once they had played all the teams in the league and fans from all over the country had seen how much they cheat up close the press eventually started calling him out on it. Its not his role in the team this year anyway, Mane is the one who looks to 'win' penalties. Be interesting to see how many free kicks in dangerous areas they have been given from dives though as I don't think VAR checks things outside of the area.
