I fucking hate it. Every goal now in every game (except when dippers score) the initial thought is how can they rule it out.

This,the instant emotion of the goal being scored is taken away,my first thought when Aguero then de Bruyne scored was thinking it’s going to get chalked off it’s fucking horrible now,celebrations are half hearted...

Yes Gallagher said all 20 clubs knew what they were signing up to.... it was hoddle was pressing him to explain when the ball is actually hit , hoddle want to know if it was when the ball was impacted or when the foot just touched the ball or when the ball left the foot because if you are ruling a player off side by 1mm we need to know. Gallagher wouldnt or couldnt tell hoddle at what point the ball was judged to have started its pass !!. Gallagher just said sarcastically something like ......glen it's the best technology we have and all 20 clubs knew what they were signing up to

i think this is a fair assessment.

could you imagine next season with VAR scrapped. Salah does a ridiculous dive with no contact (which would happen a lot) and the ref points to the spot. Would fans really be ok with that knowing we now have the technology for it to be reviewed

Hoddle comes across as a a twat at times,but he’s spot on here,that fucker Gallagher wouldn’t give him a straight answer as he knows fine rightly it’s used differently for teams when it comes to determining offside ..

If clubs signed up for it, surely they would have informed fans in programme notes. I've never read a thing from the programme or the OS for that matter, as to when the measurement for offside begins. It should be when the player playing the ball first touches it, certainly not when the ball has left his foot. I have no idea when it begins and if they are down to millimetres are all measurements for offside for every team the same? I'm very sceptical.

Yep it would seem that Gallagher and his mates dont know at what point the off side line is drawn, they guess
