Yep, been saying it since day one of this VAR implementation and before.
 
VAR in its current way is too flawed to be used in games. Why does it correct a referees mistake of not spotting Laporte’s hand skimming the ball but deny us and even the rags clear and obvious penalties? Some refer it back to the VAR team not wanting to undermine the decision of the referee but in the case of an unintentional handball, where even the opposition touches it with their hand, it can be overturned. None of Rodri’s, Silva’s or Martial’s penalty claims were arguable, and there are set laws to award penalties for them just like the set rules on handball. This has to change rapidly otherwise we are fighting an uphill battle against the FA to retain our title!

Are they hoping that by causing so much controversy, by not overturning decisions, that the complaints from supporters will drive the powers that be to just fuck VAR off as a bad experiment?

The idea I thought of VAR was to reduce if not eradicate incorrect decisions. It is completely and utterly failing and sh*tting on us at a great height.

I’m convinced now.

Again i’ll say it. They bought the lesser system. They are blaming var like it’s the computer refusing to overturn obvious fouls. Rags yesterday showed me this is all PGMOL and they will use any opportunity to turn fans against var as a tech.

We all know that one offside aside, the tech hasn’t been the issue-it’s how the refs are subjectively applying or failing to apply it.

Yeah they didn’t bother with all this “clear and obvious” crap last year. If the ref missed a penalty, he was told he may want another look at it on the half way line.

Some then changed their decision, some states with their original decision.

What was wrong with that?

You’re talking biased crap. Every set of fans (just about) hates var already, everyone thinks it’s screwing them and that’s after 3 games. I’m sure it will be unanimous by game week 15. Var is absolutely not fit for purpose and their rules on ‘clear and obvious’ just have to change. But that doesn’t mean that City are the one and only target and saying that is the case is pure paranoia.

We are the ones with the most detailed reviews and 2 goals disallowed and a stonewall not given and rodders declared a cheat,we are the ones most hit so far,that is fact,we have dropped points because of it,it's hard to feel that we are getting a fair deal,if they have no intention of over turning the ref then what is the point? say so and spare us the pretend var checks,just because they haven't over turned the refs decisions on pens so far that doesn't mean they weren't pens,they need to be clear with us fans what this new threshold for pens is,even walton yesterday said he doesn't know what it is,with the rodders pen it was clear oliver didn't see it so they wouldn't have been over turning him if they gave it,it was a clear and obvious error instead they have tarnished rodders name
As for why i still bother that is a good question,today i hated the game,i was waiting to celebrate the goals and waiting to have them chalked off,i felt annoyed the whole way through,i can't see me enjoying another game watching it live,i think i will have to watch them back and enjoy it that way,it's not fucking on is it

Rags have already been done over. Martial penalty claim yesterday was as clear as they come.

Of course for VAR to influence the season outcome to create a Rags trophy win would be stretching all credibility given their current state.
Littlewoods FC though would only require a subtle massaging of decisions - including pegging all of their rivals back rather than blatantly awarding VAR decisions in their favour alone.

Time will tell, but I think I know how it is going to turn out.....
The only thing City can do is keep doing what they are doing and score enough non contentious goals to make the use of VAR academic as far as is possible.

That + the pen today have really fucked me off. It's a joke in its current guide and I have zero confidence that it will/can be improved.

I think it’s a case of the pl and uefa giving different instructions on whether close calls should be flagged. Either way there are going to be problems using VAR for offside calls near half way

And they rely on fans to not be subjective which will undoubtedly hasten it’s demise.
 
Tech is obviously not the problem, that's why I wanted it in first place. To include tech was meant to make decisions right and I'm all for it. Don't care if it takes some of the emotions out, I want right decisions.

But it obviously doesn't stop bad decisions and semantics on the side, VAR so far is utter crap.
