Would you want VAR scrapped?

No I agree. It’s fucking shite but what will happen is when a replay shows something VAR would have picked up on, people will start pissing and moaning they want it back.
That's true but I think fans watching on TV will moan more than those at the game. Being at a game not knowing what's going on waiting ages to celebrate a goal again or not is killing the enjoyment IMO.

Be a massive backward step scrapping VAR, if broadcasters have better technology & facilities than refs, every wrong offside decision & missed offence will be replayed ad nauseum, it’ll be much worse than it is now.
Better to improve what is already in place

The theory of VAR is great, the delivery is fucking awful.

I was all in favour but it's a dog's dinner in its current guise....which frame, lines through boots, obvious wrong decisions etc etc.

It'll only be workable and have the confidence of match going fans certainly my confidence is to have the audio live on screens inside the ground.

There's absolutely no chance of that happening so it may as well be scrapped. There'll still be bent/mistaken* decisions but at least they'll not be able to hide behind VAR.

*delete as appropriate

I’d rather each team have one referral per half so they’re not micro-analysing every goal. The team making the referral has to say what they want checking so they can’t make guess appeals - I.e. We want offside on Salah checking in the build up or Robertson was fouling Foden during the corner.

People have short memories.

Before VAR all the national football conversation was about how refs are absolutely shit. The speed of the English game has increased so much that human error is inevitable and cheats were enabled to deceive the refs.

All that will happen is we revert to that world, which is less good.
