I have said it many times, that having the regular officials also looking after VAR, is like letting the prisoners run the prison.Seems strange that they can award us a pen against Spurs two mins after the foul, but didn’t review such an obvious error yesterday
Can anyone recaall if Friend blew the whistle for offside or if he allowed advantage to West Ham as they had the ball. If he blew the whistle was it after the foul had been committed? If so VAR should have reviewed a possible penalty. Yet another example of how VAR is being used to manipulate results
Just watching it back, referee did not blow. To confirm that there was no dead ball kick as the keeper played it out to the left wing. Can anyone recaall if Friend blew the whistle for offside or if he allowed advantage to West Ham as they had the ball. Just been announced on SSN that despite the mistake being acknowledged, PIGMOL say there won't be a retrospective ban as it was seen at the time.
Work that one out.
