VAR impact and consequence log - game 27

agree 100% m8. I can see a few season tickets not being renewed across the country. It’s expensive to go to games but what’s the point when var has taken all the love out of it.

some can say it’s an over reaction and everybody will renew but I’m not so sure. You can see it on fans faces at every game now. I’m totally done with it

I have entered a new phase in watching City. It's Phase 3. Phase 1 was when I went to Maine Road and the early days at The Etihad and as I passed through the turnstile I would silently mouth a prayer "Dear God, please keep it to five!" Phase 2 was when Mancini arrived and I'd pass through the turnstile wondering how many we would score today. Phase 3 involves me thinking which goal(s) are they gonna screw off us today!

I meant more in the way of changing the apparently corrupt system

Will the FA and the PL be seriously worried if there are more empty seats at the Etihad? They'll be fucking happy, especially the rags and the dippers. Giving up on going to games helps only our rivals.

Look at the ball since when does a round ball look like a rugby ball and the ball in that shot has already left Mahrez's head therefore should be run back from that point anyway. It is blatant clear nad ovious cheating and corrupt

That keeps the score at 2-1 and continues the possiblity of a CFC equaliser. When it went in I shouted "Atkinson, you'll have to screw us for a couple of goals now!" P'raps I shouted too soon!

Had this system of arbitrating a sport where the on pitch officials can't decide whether an incident hasn't involved an infringement been laid at the door of the RFU at Twickenham that quorum of gentlemen would still, months later, be rolling round the floor laughing off their collective cock! Old Mother Riley has suggested this week that the system is far from perfect. Dead right, Michael! it hasn't got beyond the first inch where perfection is reached after just one fuckin mile.

Forget the third goal, what about the rest of the decisions (not) given today ? No one can tell me that was an even contest, Chelsea had 12 players on the pitch, absolute disgrace.

Bent as fuck.

I got as far as Milnrow today and switched on the radio. Palace free kick. And a goal!! Didn't want to invite a Dipper goal so I turned it off. Got onto the concourse on CBL3 and fuck me it had been given to the Dippers.

And by how many microns was Raheem offside. These days the offside law needs changing so that it's a direct line to the line between the two posts and not the line between corner flags.

Rather weirdly I was driving through Milnow at that time as well. It had been disallowed by the time I got onto the motorway!

I'm not sure why the whole world can see what's wrong with VAR but PGMOL can't.

Unintentional flicks of an attackers hand are not grounds to rule out the next 5 minutes of open play.
Offsides don't need to be micro-reviewed into oblivion, it's either clearly offside or we go with the on-field decision (That includes Salah's goal against us, but that wasn't reviewed in any case).

Fix those 2 and it's a different game - but you can't fix it mid-season.
