VAR (PL introduction 2019)

But surely it’s the worst feeling when a goal has been scored by a blatant offside or a blatant handball by officials not having a clue with the speed of the game.
It’s a travesty we’ve put up with it this long and at very long last we’re implementing ways to reduce to errors - the odd one will occur and will rightly be blown out of proportion. But they will always be relative to what we have put up with.
There’s plenty of times now when a teams scored, for fans to celebrate only for a flag to go up or the ref to point something out. We still celebrate.
Not two minutes later. I suggest you have a look at some German or Dutch fan forums where they hate it.

I just know that I’m going to be going mad about this every week. At first when it was rumoured that VAR was going to be brought in I thought it was a good thing. Problem for me is it takes all the emotion out of the game, which is why we go to the match, or one of the main reasons. If we’re all going to be waiting for VAR decisions after every goal and not celebrating, then they can keep it for me.

Plus the fact that a person that pays to for a ticket for a game gets a worse service than someone sat at home watching it in full knowledge of what's going on.

"If the VAR believes there is a definitive video clip which helps explain an overturned decision to fans, it will be broadcast on giant screens," the Premier League said in a statement

Err hello. If there isn't a video clip then the decision shouldn't be overturned as it cannot be shown to be a clear and obvious error. Selective screening is going to be a real recipe for corruption and bias

And that's why they don't give a fuck they would rather have you sat at home paying through the nose to watch it on their little box

Correct, which aids their eventual plan of touring the world with Premier League games.

Could be my last season ticket this year.
If VAR takes out all the spontaneity of the game what is the point of being there?
Look at the Spuds game and the disallowed goal.

Not like the dippers or rags can't afford some big screens. I mean my missus isn't running those clubs finances.

The abandoned second leg of the CAF Champions League final between Esperance and Wydad Casablanca is to be replayed at a neutral venue after this month's Africa Cup of Nations.

Tunisian club Esperance were awarded the trophy after the match could not be completed due to a fault with the Video Assistant Referee system but they have now been ordered to return the trophy and medals.

6-1 down and the bloke in the striped T shirt still gives his mate a blow job
It’s a comedy sketch.
The woman above the cock sucker giving herself a facepalm.
The guy beside her taking a selfie.
A chap asleep stood up!
A lad admiring his finger nails,
David Blaine, and to round it off , just below the 6 is fonejacker !

This is true, but will get picked up on if it happens. If angles miraculously appear a few days later, it will look suspicious enough to get noted, even if Sky try to ignore it and BT Waltonise things. Similarly occasions when VAR just doesn't get used will be noted.

Showing a clip used to overturn an on-field decision makes sense. That two grounds can't do that is fairly irrelevant on the grand scale of things - VAR will still be in effect, just not to the fans.

So two of the biggest teams in the PL voted against VAR ( as I understand it ), and now that it is being introduced, the same two teams are unable to show VAR replays in their grounds.

If I was less accepting of their complete integrity and impunity, I might think those two teams didn't want the the supporters to be able to see what the VAR officials see, which could expose a possible bias demonstrated towards those two teams.

Obviously the " technical difficulties " facing the two said teams cannot easily be rectified.

I noticed that quote and thought WTF. I understand offside is offside but everything else has to be a clear and obvious error and that is the get out clause. What is clear and obvious to one person isn't to another so it will be all subjective and the ref is miked up so doesn't have to justify anything. VAR will be a nightmare and the media darlings will benefit as they always have and always will do.

Has this been mentioned?

So grounds like Turf Moor or Goodison can facilitate VAR, but the 2 teams with the most trophy wins can’t manage it !
What a crock of sh1t, the tail wags the dog again, they should be made to have it installed or face points deduction or suspended until they do install it.
