VAR (PL introduction 2019)

Wires crossed me thinks @IH8MUFC im not saying it was wrong in that game I'm saying with VAR no more incompetence as they call it when it's down right cheating what some teams get away with over the years...
Found it funny Natcho getting a offside call with introduction of VAR were they just taking the piss because of all the offside goals calls he had that wasn't offside when he was playing for us? The call for VAR wasn't necessary he was never offside....

Good to see that VAR has stopped players complaining about decisions!

Would VAR have stopped wigan getting that Pen?

On salah, the soft shite went down like he had been shit, but the wba player tugged his shirt, so pen was always gonna get given

I was watching the game until the 3rd West Brom goal was disallowed by VAR then turned it off as I felt cheated.
They need to bring it in gradually similar to the goal line technology.

why did you feel cheated? the correct decision was arrived at, barry was in a offside position and clearly interfering the keeper.

i agree it took too long, but i feel this is due to it being in its infancy and refs being under pressure to get the decisions right so taking longer.

i also feel its has to be shown in the stadium similar to rugby so fans feel part of the process

what should happen, instead of the finger to the ear which no one can see the tv signal should be given and then the screens should relay that to the crowd.

So going back to the point I was making, most people think Salah dived and it was never a pen in a million years ( and i totally agree ! ) but some think it was a pen. The point being how can VAR be making any decision on subjective incidents !? It is a farce and that before we even talk about spoiling the game or the 4 mins it took to make this decision. VAR for offsides and ball in or out or where an incident took place but not for subjective incidents like salahs dive !

i would say the theatrics from salah are secondary to the issue in hand, the initial point is whether the contact(and there was) from the west prom player meets the criteria of law 12 of the rules of football

what salah did next is up for further discussion

So every time a player puts his arms or has any kind of slight tug on a player that player should throw himself theatrically whether near the ball or not to con everyone and good old VAR can give a pen. There would be a dozen pens in every game and based on last night that would hold the game up 48 minutes ! As others have said why did VAR not award WBA a pen for the push on Barry !? It cannot work for subjective decisions not just because it is subjective but because the ridiculous delays ruin the game !

I thought it was farcical, everytime there was a VAR incident Craig Pawson looked like he'd left the gas on.
Before last night I was all for it but now I'm not so sure, players will be asking for VAR at every opportunity.
