VAR Thread - 2021/22

Might be in the wrong thread but why do the swamp and klanfield still allowed to have no screens at the ground to see what has occurred?
Well..... they said that due to the layout of their seats/stadiums they were unable to fit any screens in. The authorities said ok fair enough........ and then anfield built a new stand but still did not install a screen.
The simple fact is the rags would have had to remove seats to put a screen in and that would have meant lost revenue.

A bit like how they dont comply with the ruling which states away fans should be at the side of the pitch. Another rule waved for them....

And a certain percentage of your capacity has to he given to disabled fans, both fail that. Bearing in mind the new stand at the dippers it really is disgraceful

correctly overturns wrong decisions all the time. People refuse to accept how bad the decisions are without VAR.
What....like VAR turning Jonny Evan's yellow card into a red? Oh hang on.....

I'd be a lot more accepting of VAR if they made it transparent like rugby and cricket. You hear and see everything so you can understand why they come to a decision. VAR is a closed shop with no explanation and technology which isn't fit sometimes for the speed of the game - I'm thinking offsides and the inability frame by frame to really determine when the ball is struck.

If the footballing authorities are so trusting of the technology and the people who operate it, as they say they are, then let the paying punters/armchair fans be allowed to see and hear the process in all its transparent glory. But when they keep it all quiet and they come to a decision which is 'contentious' and inconsistent with what's gone before, you're left scratching your head and the impression is - rightly or wrongly - that some teams are reffed/VAR-ed differently.
