Veganism

Why repulsed? You've given no valid reasons whatsoever to feel that way. That's why you are continually talking bullshit.

Because I believe an animal knows the difference between pain and pleasure, because I think it feels hurt when it's balls are cut off, or it's beak burnt off, or when a red hot poker is shoved in it's face, or even being in tight spaces, and it's kids being taken away etc. These are valid reasons. They may not be absolute facts. I will concede that. The scientific community or whatever can't make it's mind up. But I decide not to take the chance, because they have other obvious emotions such as loneliness, anxiety, panic..

It's if all bullshit to you then fine mate.. honestly. I am not (as I have said) on the top of some moral high ground hill.

Well that's debatable. You seem to be claiming the moral high ground without fucking anything to back it up

Did you know cats purr when they are happy. They also purr when they are injured. Pain or pleasure. Perhaps it's the same to them.

Perhaps.. despite all reason on visually seeing a sentient being screaming/squealing in apparent pain, you are right. You decide to take the chance, I don't. I have conceded it is not absolute scientific FACT. I am anthropomorphizing apparently when I see a video of a cow getting branded in the face and it screams. As to whether it can be truly known.. give us more time?

As I side note, I wonder why the use of the electric cattle prod thing is prohibited when the animal is restrained? Perhaps because it's an unnecessary form of torture? Who knows.. if they don't/can't feel pain, why prohibit it.

He then moved on to saying that we should be Vegans because animals have feelings with no evidence to support this claim.
...
Personally I think farm animals just have instincts rather than intelligent thought and for this reason I have no problem eating them if they are humanely slaughtered.
Do you have any evidence to support this claim?

Cows don't scream from pain, they emit a high pitched screaming sound when their calf is further away. They emit a low pitched sound when their calfs are nearby. We call it mooing.

And you've mixed up "I have absolutely no science AT ALL to support this position" with "I have conceded it is not scientific FACT".

You're arguing about the existence of pixies in terms of evidential support and treating it as a worthy opinion

The "personally I think" gave away that it's an opinion and not a claim.

Science is not a hammer for you to use against every nail you see, believing it gives you a higher ground in an argument.

If you have little scientific training then a good idea is not to attempt to have a scientifically based argument.

Were sound effects added here? Just watch a few seconds.. no need to watch it all.

though scientifically speaking I think that the empirical analysis of the biological and emotional effects, of the termination of meat consumption upon humans, animals, plants and magic mushrooms could maybe perhaps have some meaning to somebody somewhere, who might possibly potentially theoretically write it on a postcard.

No and that is a whine and not a scream. Cows don't scream, they lack the biology to scream.

Do you know what nociceptor is? Go and look it up, look up the difference between centralised receptors in the brain compared to reactions stemming from the spinal column and then we should probably start this discussion again.

Read all about it thanks.

Actually, you believe nothing significant has happened here? The cow is attention seeking?
