The way i see it is like this. A football fan if found to be using racist language would face a 3 year ban from all football grounds.

Surely if a fan can be banned for 3 years, a player should recieve the same punishment? If not it may allow fans to use it as a loophole in a court of law.

I think it is. Firstly the context it was used, aimed to offend, and secondly why mention he's black? Just call him a ****, why include the fact he's black?
