Vieira flies to France to hijack Arsenal's M'Vila deal

why ? we dont really need a centre midfielder unless we sell de jong or toure. We should stick with the midfiled we have and focus on strikers and left back

Gareth Barry Manilow said:
"Reports in France claim Patrick Vieira is heading a last ditch bid from Man City to try and snatch Yann M'Vila from Arsenal's grasp."

"It is reported Vieira was in Paris last week for talks with M'Vila's people, could be a huge blow to Arsenal, who thought it was a done deal"

That's what Graeme Bailey has tweeted, he also mentioned us being in for Giovinco:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7762366/City-in-Giovinco-link" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... vinco-link</a>

Parma star Sebsatian Giovinco's agent has claimed that Manchester City are in the mix to sign him.

The 25-year-old forward began his career with Juventus but he has spent the last two years with Parma, with the two clubs each sharing 50 per cent ownership of his registration.

Juve are understood to be keen to take Giovinco back to Turin, but Claudio Pasqualin has revealed that City are also keen on his services.

"There are so many clubs interested in Giovinco, big clubs across Europe," Pasqualin told Sky Italia.
Contact

"They are in Spain, Germany and England. In the Premier League there was a contact with Manchester City.

"[Juventus' coach, Antonio] Conte wants Giovinco in his squad? I have never talked with him, but we'll meet with Juventus and I will be able to answer this question.

"[Parma owner] Tommaso Ghirardi said he is worth €40million? A good agent does not enter into these issues but I agree with the Parma president. Giovinco deserves comparison with [Alexis] Sanchez and [Javier] Pastore."

Giovinco, who scored 15 goal in Serie A, has been named in Italy's Euro 2012 provisional squad.

^^So they rang us and now they can use that to bump the price up.

If true sounds as if Yaya may be on his way.
M'Vila would be great signing but can he compare to Yaya in EPL.

A good addition to the squad I suppose. Not sure about being a superstar though.

I don't know much about the guy and have never seen him play, but the word is he's incredible. Apparently "reads the game like Makélélé, has the presence of Vieira and can pass the ball like Yaya Touré" according to his manager.

I don't think anyone has to be concerned about Yaya. This would have nolthing to do with him. If this transfer happened.....our next seasons midfield pair would be Yaya-M'vila. With Barry,Milner and possibly De Jong as back-ups.
