I don't think it's by accident that Viera is the one who's voicing these concerns. A great move by the club... Much better than a post-match rant from Mancini.

He's in a good position to make these comments. It's clear that everyone in the management team is pissed off with the double standards but Mancini can't be as blunt as PaddyV.

We've had an ongoing debate on here which is good but unfortunately that debate hasn't really been aired in the press. It needs to be, with the examples we've seen over the last couple of months. If you were to make a compilation of all the incidents we've discussed and watched them all back to back you would have a very hard time explaining the various levels of punishment handed out.

Of course we , as City fans,think he is 100% right but irrespective of that he knows this will be highlighted in the media and we will be accused of whinging.

Hopefully it doesnt rebound on us in forthcoming weeks.No real reason why it should but you never know how refs will respond when it gets picked at by media and pundits.

Taggart's been doing this sort of thing for years, it didn't seem to harm them much.
