Vienna

Love Vienna lots to do.

Have to visit the many coffee house demel, sacher hotel and cental being the most well known. Zoo is a good trip if they still have pandas. You can go on the ferris wheel from the third man at prater Park. Should book a mozart concert ( not my thing but enjoyed it).

Lots of museums, building churches to keep you busy.
Lots of nice places to eat the zum schwarzen kameel stands out at one I remember

Plus there is this place
Worlds longest building

Got to have a Sachertorte while you’re there.

The D Tram passes some amazing architecture.
The Vienna state opera is not to be missed
Visit the museum area and take your pick
Take in the schonbrunn palace
There’s a flea pit showing the Third Man on repeat. I loved it.
The Vienna public transport network is the best in Europe.

My daughter inter railed around Europe after finishing uni and visited lots of cities
She took in Rome Venice Zagreb split Budapest Prague Munich Berlin and Vienna
She loved Budapest, said there was loads going on
Her top three in order Budapest Venice and then Prague
With regards to Vienna she said the palace was fantastic but apart from that found in dull in comparison to her top three
Bottom of the list is Zagreb

I know this goes against the general consensus but Vienna didn't grab me when I went there a few years ago.
Can't really pinpoint exactly why, and there is certainly nothing wrong with the place, but I felt it was lacking something compared to other cities across Europe. Felt a bit underwhelmed by it tbh.
Although I would go back, I'm certainly in no rush to return.

In the same trip, we also went to Budapest and Bratislava, and Vienna was firmly 3/3 in the pecking order for me.
