Vienna

I think it's a great city.

What are you looking to do? The Danube isn't in the city centre, so I didn't think it was much like either of the other cities.

As others have said, Schonbrunn palace is easy to reach. Plenty of museums around the Hofburg.
There are (or were) catacomb tours under the cathedral - if rooms of bones are a holiday activity.
The Prater park has a Ferris wheel as seen in the Third Man, although it was a fair journey and a bit shabby out to the park.
The main opera house is impressive, and may still do cheap standing tickets you queue up for.
Demels cafe is a great cake cafe, as is Hotel Sacher for, well, Sachertorte. May be a bit costly nowadays!
The Wienerwald and Tiergarten are probably not too difficult to get to for a bit of countryside.
Bratislava is about an hour on the train if you want to drop into Slovakia.

Love Vienna lots to do.

Have to visit the many coffee house demel, sacher hotel and cental being the most well known. Zoo is a good trip if they still have pandas. You can go on the ferris wheel from the third man at prater Park. Should book a mozart concert ( not my thing but enjoyed it).

Lots of museums, building churches to keep you busy.
Lots of nice places to eat the zum schwarzen kameel stands out at one I remember

Plus there is this place
Worlds longest building

Been to Vienna a couple of times and really enjoyed it,hopefully this will give you some help.

My Grandad used to be a removals man driving around Europe. He moved a few footballers over the years either to Manchester or from Manchester. Paul Ince was one when he moved to Inter.

He’d get chance to stay over where he’d driven to and said of all the cities he went to, Vienna was his favourite.
