I think we should get the game won then bring the untried kids from the bench rather than chucking them in the deep end.

I'd have Kelechi starting but being a lone striker is not his game, he needs support.
I think you're right about Kelechi, but are there any obvious solutions? I don't see one

Well it could work out that he plays in that position & has a great game, but it's not his position & if he struggles & we struggle, then we end up having to bring on Aguero anyway & maybe even end up with a replay. Not easy.

It's not a decision I would criticise Pellegrini for either way. Unfortunately we don't have a fit centre forward or strike partner in the EDS who would be a genuine partner for him. And we don't know what side Villa will put out, but realistically they have nothing to lose by going for it.

I would play Sterling alongside him upfront.

I was thinking the same. It really would have been ideal for Bony, but we don't so just have to get on with it.

Very happy to be at Wembley now. That's in the bank. If we had a full squad, or something close to it, I'd be confident, but the impending Sunderland game (where they are rested) makes today really difficult. You never know though. Players must be on a high now.

I think so but it's a difficult situation to balance.

It's a problem of our own making though imo. If a club is going to fight strongly on four fronts, they have to have kids involved to take the weight off the squad imo & we are struggling for players because we have skipped that part of the plan & don't know who can reliably step up. It could be we fluke a few squad members by throwing some in today & them doing well, which could lift the whole season to another level, but that would be quite good fortune were it to happen.

Villa might play into our hands with a weakened side in the delusion they are fighting to stay up.

Having a booze in aston social club. Think I will be only blue in here. Interpreter needed. A bit like the old Claremont. One chap talking to the wall. 2 little kids in full kit, poor bastards. Toilets a bit like the back of the kippax,
