I've never seen that pic before,i'm amongst that lot somewhere.
The replay should have been at the same ground but they shafted us & it was played at wembley, corrupt then corrupt now.

Very true!..... we stopped over on the Saturday night after the Final and I can remember there being 20,000 tickets being sold at Wembley on the Sunday morning which was really good for all those City fans who had headed home on the Saturday night.

Wembley gave each club an allocation and put the rest on sale at Wembley stadium.

Three guesses which fans ended up buying them.

did we used to sing you'll never walk alone? O_O

Yes we did. Lots of clubs did.

The second verse was speeded up with clapping.

cheers i knew a few did, im only 17 so i never heard it from city fans.

I was in there too - near the top and right behind the goal where PP scored that free kick - I was picked (well scraped!) up off the floor at least 3 times after almost being crushed by an avalanche of bodies!

Great thread. I was in the Holte End too. Best day I ever had watching City and I went to the 76 league Cup Final, 81 FA Cup (twice) and The Play Off Final.....great times, singing and drinking all day. Oh to be 20 again without a care in the world.

Like has been said we had 3/4 of the ground, everyone seems to have been in the Holte End, surely someone on here was in the other end as that was packed with blues too...(just seen that 'blumoonrises' was!)....and DD was right about fat head Brazil missing a sitter......

Yeah; but didn't someone hit the post for us down at the 'normal' away end? Paul Power seems to spring to mind for that.

was in the holte end near the back, think the cop who was near me, was sick of me asking how long to go now, as he said once, feck off im trying to watch the game, and also 2 other things from that great day was seeing eddie large in his roller and me trying to hug him through the window, and going up the m1 whith our scarfs out of the window and passing leeds coaches going back up to yorkshire and leeds fans throwing cans at us
