The photo's in "The Big Book Of City" page 164-165 and this facebook page shows it:

mancyman said:yep. what a day. been far too long since days like that. we were in the opposite end to the holte and seemed to be right behind paul when he took the free kick. we were all jumping before it went in. there was no way the keeper was getting it. can't be much longer before we have times like that again.
Didsbury Dave said:I was 11 years old and in the seats with my Dad. The journey down was amazing as the motorway was jammed with cars flying City colours.
After our goal, there was a chorus of "You'll never walk alone" and the whole City side of the Holote End seemed to turn solid blue with scarves. I was blown away. This photo may well actually be that moment.

Interestingly, at 11, I thought it would always be like that. I had no inclination that 30 years later it still hasn't got any better.

did we used to sing you'll never walk alone? O_O
I remember "Match" magazine doing their cup final special and in it, they had a picture of the free kick, mid flight, taken from the far end of the ground and I was able to see myself in it (bloody gruesome!). T o my eternal regret, I lost that bloody magazine. Then again, it may be just as well; my hair looked like I'd had 20,000 volts passed through me!Balti said:Gary James said:The photo's in "The Big Book Of City" page 164-165 and this facebook page shows it:
