Villa v Maccabi Tel Aviv - away fans banned | MTA confirm they will refuse any allocation for safety reasons (p26)

They were banned because the police didn't trust the Maccabi hooligans not to chant "death to Arabs" and cause trouble leading to inevitable clashes with local Muslims, that's all but keep believing whatever you want.
Let’s hope Birmingham fans never sing about kicking in Villa fan’s heads then. You believe what you want k, we all know why. Have you ever seen a local councillor and MP with no interest in a football club stand outside the ground asking for the game to be cancelled or fans to be banned. We all know the real reason why they were banned. Reputation for trouble my arse.

The MTA fans were just one part of a potential powder keg involving them, the local community and right-wing agitators. It was probably the right move to ban them under the circumstances but let's not pretend they were the only problem in this toxic equation.
You're right.

Birmingham fans are notorious for putting on army uniforms and actually killing Villa fans, no difference at all with those Maccabi fans.

I condemn violence. Agreed
I do not support homelands for religions. I can only think of two and that's the Maldives, 100% Muslim and Vatican City, 100% RC
I don't support seizing land and occupying it. You will have a problem with history then
I don't support witholding aid and medicines. Presume you are referencing Gaza. Hamas controlled the area, up to them to sort that out not another country who is being attacked by them. And remember Egypt refused to open their border to allow aid in. 85% of the world's refugees are Muslin yet hardly any of the 50% Muslim countries want to help, why?
If that is committed in the name of religion then I denounce it. If it is committed in the name of a nation state I denounce it. I couldn't care which religion or state that is. Most terrorist atrocities are in the name of religion not a nation state
Good post.
It would be upto Hamas if the area wasn't being occupied by an army stopping access to the aid.

Plenty of rubbish as usual, he doesn't seem to know that Israel has controlled the Rafah crossing from the Gaza side for over a year and a half so it was them that refused the aid in not Egypt.

The reason that Maccabi fans were banned was not because of this reputation everyone lies about, they don't have one. They were banned because the locals couldn't be trusted to behave.
100% but everyone is too scared to say anything, even though the Maccabi fans were not there the Palestine mob still turned up in the hundreds to spread their hate. The Villa fans outside the ground made their feelings known to them, and rightly so. The use of a football match to push a political agenda on an overseas conflict is wrong in my opinion.

I see the troubles then spilt onto the streets of Birmingham with shocking scenes of fireworks being used against the police by the usual masked, hooded, wannabe roadmen. (cunts)

We have enough issues of our own to sort before I can be arsed about either Israel or Palestine.

The border has been closed for two years. Maybe if you didn’t rely on Al Jazeera or Hamas for your facts…
Once again, Egypt never stopped aid from getting in, oh and Israel has controlled the Gaza side of the border for a year and a half, maybe if you didn't rely on Hasbara nonsense for your facts.

Talked to Villa fans in work and just watched the West Midlands news, glad it all passed off without incident last night

Spot on
I may have missed the post, but I've only seen anti-genocide posts, not anti-jew. There's a big difference.

If you say so.

The anti Jew rhetoric on this page is nothing short of a disgrace & people need to hold their heads in shame

Wasn’t just Villa fans annoyed, there were a few groups from London based football teams in the area
