Villa Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

I notice the only thing the Mancini Outers can come up with is insults, how pathetic!

Its because no one wants to re-visit the whole Mancini argument, its been done to death, let it stay dead.

Debatable? Your stream must have been shite.

It was a foul but the kind that often does not get penalised. There wasn't much contact and it wasn't responsible for Villa losing the ball but Nasty should not have committed it.

wtf, it was a clear free kick nastasic tripped the villa player up.

WTF! Can't you read: I said it was a foul, twice.

Piss poor defensive display. Also thought Hart could have done better for both goals.

Going forward we aren't direct enough at times.

Can't believe we lost that game.

Milner only has workrate and tackling and sure as hell can't pass, cross or shoot accurately!!

Milner can't pass?? Did you see our goals vs Wigan midweek?

One good pass in how many?

We played well and in the end lost to an offside goal, a beaut of a free kick and a freak goal, the like of which we won't see again this season. It's just unfortunate that it came after two abject away performances in the league. Fancy us to beat Bayern now, typical City and all that.

Agreed. Can't believe some on here are saying it wasn't a foul. If it happened up the other end, we'd all be screaming for a foul.

I am actually laughing reading some of these comments.

We were robbed today! It was a one off. A fluke. A one-in-a-million.

Mancini? He is gone. Past. History. The players didn't want him. The management didn't want him. No other too team in Europe has approached him. He is an abbrasive individual with an ego bigger than most players.

Please, for the sake of the reputation of City fans, stop idolising him like he is some sort of messiah. Honestly, it is sadder than the bin dippers adulation of Benitez.

Pellegrini is a better manager but he needs time. Like Mancini had. He has had 6 league games. 6. What did Mancini do in his first half season? Pack the midfield and play some really dire negative football.

Pellegrini won't be fucking off, but you may as well if you are a Mancini fan rather than a Man City fan.

+50000.

Losing to villa with there best players out is simply abject.
The happy blues can dress it up all they like but this is not acceptable

So what's your solution?

Chage the stlye of play for away games failing that sack the current clown and find somewone whom understands that

I wonder whats gonna happen when we face WHU, Everton, Soton, Swansea away from home, these are the teams we really struggle against.

Away record is crucial and Pellegrini so far failed to win in all 3 away games. Commentator said something about his last Malaga matches away from home, losing his last 5 in a row conceding 20 goals at last, and now at City 3 games 1 point only conceding 6 goals vs Cardiff and Villa...

Two weeks ago fuckin Newcastle went to Villa and won, last week Spurs went to Cardiff and won...

if we lose on Wednesday we are well and truly up against it. How the fuck do we undo such good work from last sunday and tuesday with fucking complacency... so pissed off

Perhaps you should just calm down a little and then come back when you have reflected on things, same could be said for a few others this evening

It gets a little tiresome the over reactions on here after a loss, I am just as disappointed as you, but I and many others have the ability to think before we post, and save making ourselves look like an hysterical kid

ok go on then which part of my post do you have a problem with? what will reflecting on things do? Fact is it was ANOTHER shocking away performance from this team, as has been the case over the 18+ months. Somethings wrong with the attitude of the players, and manager

Everything was just bad today.

Finishing could have been better.
Defense was just terrible.

Combined that with poor officiating then you get what we see today.

Nothing you can do about it now. Just be ready to play against Bayern

To make the right subs and focus on the current game rather than the mid week one for a start.

Sickening result especially as United lost and we actually played well for the most part today unlike the Stoke and Cardiff games.

Milner is out of his depth and why Nasri went off I will never, if Pelle wanted to close the game down then bring on another midfielder for an attacker. Nastasic is also starting to piss me off gives away so many free kicks in stupid positions.

Fucking gutted this should have been a routine win, We will be a long night on Wednesday.

You could say the same about how over the top it gets when we play well and get a good win, but people don't say it. Why not just let people say how they're feeling? It's no worse than seeing "we're so good I think we'll tonk Bayern 4-0" or whatever OTT reactions there are after a win.

I agree, we were excellent and somehow lost but I remember Chelsea losing their only game of one season away at us when we had one shot (the penalty) on target and were murdered,

These things happen and it is football, but this message will be lost in the clamour of thundercunts to prove how little they know about football on this thread.

We've taken 1 point from 3 winnable away games. This isn't a one off, and it isn't a freak result. We don't put teams away when we're dominating games and away from home especially you have to do that. We need to be more ruthless and we need to start doing it quickly.
It was a freak result if you watched the game.

Against Stoke and Cardiff we played badly, we didn't today by any stretch.

An offside goal
A stupid foul
And Kompany & Nasty having a brain fart.

Nothing the manager can do tactics wise to stop those errors is there.

Everyone needs to chill the fuck out.

Im chilled fella..gonna take good positives from that...

Performance away is certainly a concern. Thought I read MP's team usually play cautious away but guess I'm wrong.

Same story as last season. Lack killer instinct wasted too many chances to put game away.

With city, there's guaranteed goals. Either we give opponents a thrashing or we lose a tight one in a 5 goal fest lol

Did I watch a different game? We battered them, created all the chances had at least a dozen corners. Their first was offside, the second a great free kick and the 3rd a freak goal. We played great, the most one sided defeat I have ever seen, I have no idea what most fans want.[/quot
Well said.
