Villa Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Thank fuck there's CL mid week so we can try and put this behind us, mind you it's Bayern but still.

C'mon Swansea...

We were good, very good. We somehow lost the momentum after their offside goal but I thought we can win it comfortbaly after Dzeko's header. Very silly foul by Nastasic on their second. The third one was comedy gold...

We're City so we do stuff like that. Play brilliantly and then totally fuck up. Villa still don't know how they won I assume. The really hurting point is the way we played in Cardiff and Stoke though.

Piss poor defensive display. Also thought Hart could have done better for both goals.

Going forward we aren't direct enough at times.

Can't believe we lost that game.

Milner only has workrate and tackling and sure as hell can't pass, cross or shoot accurately!!

67 % possession, 19 shots, 7 on target

2 Goals. And yet, it was defending that lost us the game.

Can't believe we lost that, sorry but MP dropped a few bollocks today. The decision to take Nasri off was a joke and Negredo looked totally ineffective when paired with the ever frustrating Dzeko. And why does anyone think Milner is a winger. Absolutely zero in terms of quality for him today. Gutted we lost that - and we conceded 3!!!

Pellegrini can fuck off if this continues

Decision to take Nasri off was perhaps wrong in retrospect (though at the time we were in complete control). But the three goals had nothing whatsoever to do with Pellegrini: first one offside, and nothing to do with tactics/set-up/instructions that would explain Nastasic given away a shit foul, and then him and Kompany combining to fuck up dealing with an aimless long ball

+1....but thnk Negredo and Dzeko cant start together...we need one creative forward..apart from this, it wasnt our day....Sure we will come back strong against Bayern and ya Nastasic should be given time off...we will win against Munich....we need to thnk abt west hamp/CSK Moscow/chelsea away after that..

The worst thing about that game is we were excellent except for the three goals. Unlike against Cardiff and Stoke where we were poor. Milner's broke the "Headless Chicken" meter today.

How I saw it too ... we were excellent despite the goals we conceded. A typical City day. I'm so disappointed. Thought we played with purpose, tempo, intensity. All the things we normally lack away from home.

We didn't make enough of all our crosses.

Not much you can do about their first goal.

Second goal came from a very soft foul but needlessly conceded.

Third was bloody stupid.

Not the manager's fault today.
