Absolutely.....too many think we can put away 4/5 every week and expecting to win every game. It ain't gonna happen and when the ranters realise this then maybe this thread won't go into meltdown.

It doesn't matter, we lost. Champions just don't go and lose games like that, not so soon in the season having already lost one. From twice in the winning position too. Should have killed that game off in the first half.

The worst thing about that game is we were excellent except for the three goals. Unlike against Cardiff and Stoke where we were poor. Milner's broke the "Headless Chicken" meter today.

This is one of the worst results in the past few years. It is all about realizing your potential and you do that with intent, hard-work and a good tempo in your approach. Most of the time it is good enough to just dominate a clearly inferior team with possession and score 2 or 3 goals but more often than people realize, the lack of intent and tempo and consequent wastage of chances can create opportunities like this to fail.

Obviously everything went against us today in terms of the referee calls, fouls, offside etc but we put ourselves in that position in the first place by going through the motions at a snails pace rather than taking the game by the scruff of the neck, scoring the goals and killing villa off.
