Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

we controlled the game from the beginning so the victory i can say was never in doubt..but we miss so much chances it's incredible well done for the win and keep the pressure on Chelsea

didnt want that to end, fantastic performance. ran out of words for david silva - the best ever in a city shirt
What I loved about that performance was that although there was no end product , we just kept going and going until we got the win.

That was a performance of Champions.

Two great goals, and Yaya is back.

That will shut our critics up. I knew we'd respond after Roma. Thank you haters. You never learn

Not like me to say much like this on the forum but some of you guys are shocking in supporting our players! Besides 2 counter attacks and a half chance for wiemann you totally dominated villa yet its still nit good enough?!?! Never have i seen a home team play like that and yet when facing 11 players inside 25 yards time after time we get our rewards in the end. As for the constant savaging of yaya its not gone way too far to the point some are so blinkered whatever he does wont be good enough.hhe always looked for the ball and maybe after all the shite he has received hes trying too hard? Reading that match day forum was a real eye opener and shows what a spoilt bunch of bastards some of our fans have become!we have NO devine right to win a game and i thought we were fantastic, professional and worked our bollocks off! Every game for us is like attack v defence and ive just witnessed one of the best midfield performances I've ever seen from merlin, milner great again and fernando back and already in the groove! We've never had it so good yet its still not good enough for some?!?! We were fantastic today and our quality and relentless pressure paid off. Very happy city tonight and i think a few need to learn that we won't win 5 or 6 nil every time. Anyway. .....celebration beer time!

Agree with everything you say but cannot take it seriously because of one line "milner great again" Astounding, but its all about opinions!!

Great win.
First half we were lethargic and devoid of ideas, however, after the kick up the arse at HT,we were relentless in the second.
Its no coincidence Lampard was on the pitch again when we took the lead, along with the introduction of Fernando,i think those two substitutions made the difference. They allowed Yaya to play his game and Silva to get on the ball more and orchestrate the match.

I don't like two up front, especially when its Dzeko and Aguero,i really don't think they are on the same wavelength, both wanting to be the main man, their link up play is poor.We look so much better in a 451 as the result proved.

Milner was awesome, the quality may have been missing on occasion but without his presence i'm not sure we would have won that game, his industry and desire is a huge factor in our success.Kompany was magnificent as were Fernandinho and the second half Silva,a special mention for Mangala too,he showed the Hull game hasn't affected him and he looked the part again.

Finally, credit Villa, they wanted that game and gave their all, maybe a tad more than us in the first half......

Thought we played well today, Silva was outstanding and good to keep a clean sheet for Mangala's confidence.

Just on Milner next time he is bleating about not getting starts he needs to watch that match back and see how very lucky he is to ever get a start.

And with this clueless load of shite I'm out of here.

Well done City.

Think we're gonna have to tolerate the fact that whatever the team does just isn't good enough for some people on here for me the performance today was outstanding against a resolute well drilled team and some people are gonna have to get their head from up their arse and realise that destroying teams week in week out ain't gonna happen in 2014-2015 teams are defending against us much better they,ve had to adapt their strategy we have to deal with it again great show and well done boys CTID.

The 8 chances he created (next best Silva at 3) clearly not good enough for some!

Good because you really must be in complete denial to what your eyes are seeing. Look because he is English and a "nice bloke" I want him to do well desperately like most fans but he is not good enough - alright from the bench.
