Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

The whole team was magnificent and professional in their efforts to unlock a very good villa team. Well done blues and our travelling fans who were in fine voice as always. CTID

Happy with the points but it shouldn't detract from the fact we were fuckin abysmal for 80 mins
Just in case this gets lost in the post match euphoria.............

I was going to comment as well but thought I didn't fancy a ban for the night.

You have summed it up perfectly mate.

Good performance, 70% possession, controlled game from start to finish, clean sheet and couple of goals away from home.

Spurs next, from what I have seen from them, they are abysmal.

I thought defensively we were very good today. Thought Mangala and Vinny were immense and kept their concentration thoughout the whole game. What I loved most was the way we controlled the ball and possession after Yaya's goal, to see four City players hunt the ball down like rabid dogs with Milner at the helm in the 91st minute was so pleasing. The move for Sergio's goal was just a joy to watch and the finish world class. All in all a very impressive performance and made my birthday even better.

Happy birthday Citymad and well done the boys.

Thought Fernandinho worked hard again - Fernando changed the game. He provides the back 4 with excellent protection.

Villa sat back and let us have the ball but silva kept probing. Our best player by a mile tonight.

Some idiots on here i suppose teams should lie down and let us score in 1st minute

Thought they were going to nick it with all the chances we missed. Dzeko missed a couple that were easier to score from and Aguero missed an absolute hatfull but surprisingly City didn't mess up - they kept going bug in and ramped it up till Villa finally broke.
YaYa was ropey in the first half but he had a great second half with the YaYa of last season finally returning to City with a great goal for City to take the lead. Silva was magnificent - the best AM in the land as was Milner was again fantastic - now the official MCFC Duracell Bunny. We are so much better with Fernando - after he came on Villa just didn't threaten at all.
Best performance of the season overall against a well organised and stubborn Villa side.
Glad to see Aguero score at the end - he needed that.

Agreed, there are some right muppets on here. Not sure if they are on heavy drugs or just don't actually watch the game or worse still if they did watch it they just don't have a clue!
