Villa were a very tough nut to crack today, all about the 3 points and we got there in the end. Unconvincing performance but good result.

Yaya was fucking hopeless until the point he scored the goal, never actually moving with the ball and just playing short passes or attempting crap long balls. I was shouting at him to actually run with the ball and the first time he did that, he scored.

If he hadn't bagged he'd have got slaughtered on here tonight.

I'm over the moon but let's not gloss it up.

Other than the goal he didnt do much in my opinion.

Correct SHB, he had a poor game.Not his fault played in the wrong position away from home as Carragher pointed out.

I dont mind any player having a bad game but the lack of effort is what gets me..

I think Yaya had his best last season.I love the guy for what hes done for us in the past but I think he either has to be moved away from defensive duties up the field or we move him on at the first opportunity.Would love to see him play ahead of Ferna and Nando if we can ever get the 2 of them on the same pitch.

Hes a twat for what happened in the summer.yes he lost a lot of credability with me for that.one goal aint gonna change that for me.

I don't think we need to play 3 in midfield unless we are playing a top team or a champs league team. I know Yaya came good in the end but he was poor in the first half. He gave the ball away numerous times under no pressure and was letting runners go past him without even attempting to track them. Against the top teams we will not get away with that.

If we are going to play 4-4-2, which I believe we can do effectively then for me it has to be Fernando and Fernandihno as the middle pairing. I think those two would compliment each other perfectly. Plus it means we would not be running Yaya into the ground.

It is time to use Yaya sensibly now to get the best out of him rather than using him as a cart horse.
