I remember the days when we used to say CL refs made PL refs look shit

These days they seem to be as bad if not worse
 
Good win but why the fuck do we stop playing at 2-0??
I just wish we would go for the third and then close up shop.
If that header had gone in in 88 mins I dread to think what extra time would have been like…
 
Said at halftime the 1st half was very reminiscent of Monaco bar the cushion of the 2nd goal and hoped we didn't produce the same kind of second half as that game, sadly, the 2nd half was also reminiscent of Monaco. We've got to be better than that. Either got to push to finish it or be much better at controlling the game, it will be an issue against better sides.

Great result overall though. good minutes for some returning players, another clean sheet and we keep the unbeaten run going. You'd take that all day.
 
First half was decent - I think once Nico went off we conceded too much space and were vulnerable to the counter yet again. Also Rico had a really top first 50 mins but tired really dramatically which didn't help.

3 points away is what was important but against better teams if we play so lethargic -as we did in the second half -we will get beaten.

Pep simply has to find a better system to really take us back to the next level - I never think we look fluid attacking with both Savinho and Doku in the same side - just have one (the player most in form) and put Cherki on the right with Phil playing behind Erling - more threat, more control.

Finally I felt Josko showed tonight that he is best in the middle with Nico being the left back - some of his passes out were awful and put us in trouble that would be punished by better players.

I think that's right . We had to manage the game in the 2nd half so we could arrive at the weekend refreshed . 5 nights sleep now and hopefully Nico G will be recovered for Sunday.
 
Great first half, poor second half, kinda the norm in the CL but I get why …
I’d rather we went in for the kill though, before we started farting around handing the opposition chances …
At this stage though its mission accomplished and move on the Vile …!
 
Very easy on the eye in the first half. I thought we controlled the game well and took our chances when they came…clinical?

Several really good performances, Nunes (who I’m overly critical of), Nico, Bernardo, Savinho, Stones, and DR were excellent.

Second half was a tricky one for Pep..to stick or twist ? ….I think we went with the former but haven’t got the players to put the ball in the fridge….VR to their credit occupied a high line and put pressure on every pass out of defence almost all second half….must give them a lot of credit, they played well and the City of last season would have crumbled in the last 20 mins.

Anyway, onwards blues..!!
 
Great result after resting some players. Very good first half but eased off too much in the second, for my liking

Already just 4 points off our total in the league stage last season :)
 
Good result after twice throwing away the lead v Monaco, but hardly a convincing performance.
The stats are well in our favour but something is missing at both ends of the pitch.
 
Similar performance to Monaco with a better result. Why we go into hibernation mode when we get ahead is madness
