It's been quite awhile since we have had a bench filled complete (aside from Panti) with attacking players (I include Barry on his recent form).

Lack of Richards on the bench and Lescott starting is odd.

Aguero does look a bit off for me (by his galactic standards) so the game rest may do him good.

Remember that Villarreal are massively understrength too which may have affected Bob's thinking. Savic's inclusion to me seems to be getting him prepared for QPR.

Good to see Savic getting a start, i hope he plays well. Despite Villareal's current mass injury exodus i still would no where near rule them out.. i would of liked to see Aguero start but at least we have a great impact bench with Dzeko, Aguero, Johnson and Kolarov. The team put out can do the damage, i just hope our Euro goal drought compared to our league form ends today with Mario up front..

Might be so we can rest him for QPR away with Kompany suspended.
