His passing at the moment is very hit and miss but that's what happens when you can barely train let alone play for most of 2 years.

With more games and time fit, his ability on the ball will show - he has got a great pass on him.

If he can stay fit, I'd have a lot of confidence in Kompany and Stones as our central defence

His passing is far from shocking and if you've watched him for years whilst fully fit you'd know that.Is Stones a great passer out of interest?
I've watched since we signed him and his passing has never been great especially when he hits it long

I'm sorry but the words 'I'm tired take me off' should never come out of the captains mouth during a derby match. Shocking mentality.

So you'd rather our best defender push themselves too far and end up injured again? It was the right decision.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I think he did exactly the right thing - if he hadn't said something and got injured, then that's him finished. This way he misses the weekend and is ready for Barca; our defence looks a different outfit with him in it.

Good performance from him tonight and very encouraging. Don't understand the bile on here.

No it shouldnt but lets just be aware of the possibility that those words and the meaning of those words maybe a little distorted when translated from what was actually said, two years of injuries take some recovering from and certainly take some getting back upto the required levels of fitness and stamina to play 90mins of football at that level wont happen over night.

Vinny must know he will be on his way if he continues to break down so a little patience may be required on both the manager and the players part as well as ours in order to see if he can get back to his best.....not convinced tonight was the fixture to risk him from a team point of view as once he had gone off, you could see that goal coming.
