Solid performance v. CP. Just the sort of calm, assured backup we need at CB.

Measure of the man that he doesn’t play for weeks, steps in and looks like he’s been a regular. Gives us the leadership we sometimes need to calm the ship.

I really wonder, had injuries not hit him, what would’ve happened. Would we have won anymore silverware? In our current starting 11?

Will never have anyone like him again. The greatest tragedy I could think of, is that if we never got bought (aside from all the success), is that someone woulda come along and taken our Vinny.

IdI be amazed if we wouldn't have won more trophies with him fully fit more mate. Still really good no whenever he plays but in his prime he was something else. Will always remember him completely bossing
rag players at old trafford and then moving into midfield with the ball and calmly sidestepping a couple of there players with ease.

I think we'd have picked up at least 1 of the 14/15 and 15/16 league titles.

You look at 15/16 and we lost the league that season because of that derby loss (Demichelis mugged by Rashford), and the Leicester loss, if we'd had a fit Kompany for those games we'd have been ahead of Leicester with 7 games or so to play, instead of being 10 points behind.

And in 14/15 he got injured at Christmas and we dropped some stupid points, so we were only level with Chelsea at New Years, then when he did come back he was not good for the first few weeks and we shipped some very costly goals which effectively ended it.

Did the corner touch anyone before Llorente pushing it over the line? Because otherwise it was a huge f*ck up from him

Walker got a slight touch, otherwise I think Kompany would have cleared it.

He jumped too late with Walker in front of him. Nothing he could do. Both him and Walker missed it by a whisper. It had to be :(

Had one amazing tackle on Son early second half at 3-2. Would be 1- on 1.
