Vincent Kompany | Bayern Munich Manager

If you take out the Anderlecht spell, Kompany's CV would be equal to McKenna and Maresca's based on experience and record alone. If you include the Anderlecht spell, he tips ahead of both of them. Neither of them have lead a rebuild like the one he has at Burnley, by the way.

McKenna and Maresca were the joint favourites for the Chelsea and MUFC jobs. Right now, Bayern are roughly a similar prospect as Chelsea and that other club. Clubs in that tier, in those situations, they will be hoping to find the next Xabi Alonso. Those clubs are not competing for the same managers that we would be, if we were hiring right now.

That's purely on results and experience, he just tips ahead of them. Then you take into account the way he comes across through his communication skills, his higher profile with both players and fans, and most importantly the fact that his style of play and tactics are tailor made for a team like Bayern, that makes him a perfect choice.

He's got more about him than McKenna or Maresca, he has that something extra, that spark about him. He's just that bit more knowledgeable about the game, and he has just that bit more charisma too. Both great qualities in a manager, the most important qualities really. Apart from those extra qualities, he is of a similar mold as those two managers. The tactical side is what attracts Bayern to him the most.

Just wait and see how that team plays, set up to his blueprint. It will turn them back into a force to be reckoned with. Also, for those of you waiting for it, the confirmation should be coming tomorrow morning.
You mean Chris Wilder?

good move Vinnie, get the mistakes out of the way there then come home

Bayern aren’t a patient club. I feel Xabi and Leverkusen will be rubbing their hands together.
