If he's not playing games, there will be no World Cup for Vinnie
Well, he used 3-5-2 in all pre-season games and first 4 league fixtures. I think it tells you something. Why is it Pep's dream to play 3-5-2 ?
He used 4-3-3 in his whole career with Barca, Bayern and even City and now he is having his best run of results with 4-3-3
True i guess,i'm having a hard time letting our old players go,he might take a wage cut to meet the club in the middle i guess,i just want to see him play once more and go out in true vinny style
Martinez is a twat so he'll take him anywayIf he's not playing games, there will be no World Cup for Vinnie
Yup. Probably agree with that. They have decent centre backs anyway. I might have a flutter on them winning it. Quality through the squadMartinez is a twat so he'll take him anyway
Great post! 100% agree. It’s so sad to see his career ending due to his muscle problems but I think we couldn’t go far wrong with Pep training him up to be his successor.I fully agree with your thinking on Vinny's future, "post World Cup". Let's hope the club utilise his experience in some form or other. It would be great if Pep takes him under his wing, as he has with Arteta. Vinny has so much to offer, very bright well educated, excellent communicator, charismatic leader of people, a dogged fighter, and winner. I feel that if there was ever anyone to be schooled in Pep's philosophy, Vinny would be that person. If not on the playing side, "wow" the club have someone they could mentor and develop into, well anything! The sky has no limit for Vincent Kompany.
I don't subscribe to the idea of just getting rid. He is a city talisman, maybe pay him less but he is Mr Manchester City
I still don’t see anywhere he’d go to, even on a free. I think there’s a job for life within the CFG for Vinny. We don't need to recoup money from Vinny, selling him is not important, if he leaves we just let him go.
Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.I bet if he wasn't paid by City when injured, he wouldn't be so keen to play for Belgium when only half fit.

It tells you he was trying a plan B to allow Aguero and Jesus to play together.Well, he used 3-5-2 in all pre-season games and first 4 league fixtures. I think it tells you something.
So we don’t sell him. But we buy cover.I still don’t see anywhere he’d go to, even on a free. I think there’s a job for life within the CFG for Vinny.
More than ok I'd say, otamendi just gets on with it like he's not even there. Stones is a thoroughbred.Even if fit he's not getting in this team currently. It's the first time in 4 years that I've felt we are actually okay without him.
I echo your sentiments exactly. However some of our fans are understandably invested in the nostalgia of the player Kompany once was & not what he is now.as I said I love the guy for what he has done at city and rightly imo call him a city legend , but he really isn't any use to the team anymore ,even when fit he is a liability :( because you just don't know if he's going to break down again during the match affecting our substitution strategy ,
ive always been city first players next, weve got to look at the bigger picture , and sadly vinny isn't in it.
need mendy for that system, that's why back to 4 at the back. delph doesn't have the game to play a marauding wingbackIt tells you he was trying a plan B to allow Aguero and Jesus to play together.
Otamendi is world class, he just always needed a solid partner next to him. That's why he always looked class next to Kompany and shit when he was with anyone else.More than ok I'd say, otamendi just gets on with it like he's not even there. Stones is a thoroughbred.
Stones and Nico both look miles better now they have a decent keeper behind them and a pair of quality full backs.Otamendi is world class, he just always needed a solid partner next to him. That's why he always looked class next to Kompany and shit when he was with anyone else.
