Vincent Kompany

It's probably been mentioned somewhere already but just heard an excellent post match interview with Kompany on Irish radio where he talks about how we are building a club, not just a team and how the aim for next year was to be better again. Great player, great captain and will go down as a club legend if he hasn't done so already. I love you Vincent xxx

Really nice touch by Vinny to tell Richards, Lopes and others who did not qualify for medals, to get on the stage and join in the celebrations. Holistic.
 
there has been some interesting analysis of Vinny's displays with some uncharacteristic mistakes creeping in but that in no way detracts from another great season from him.

also, top captain and seems like a good bloke.

p.s. anyone see the interview with MDM recently blaming Kompany for his MDM's red card lunge? he didnt say Kompany but he said someone was out of position or something, ties in interestingly with what we were saying here. Also, i like MDM but im not sure defending himself by blaming his captain was entirely sensible

He is older,more experienced and has won a lot more honours so although i don't think he should say anything i can see why he thought he could

I took that as navas going down to easy (was a foul) which resulted in the counter that resulted in the foul.....
