Vincent Kompany

He definately had a twinge in his hamstring after he took the ball off messi
The commentators referred to it,hope playing on hasn't made it into a couple of weeks out,we need him for wembley

We have enough in the squad to not miss Vinny against erm, stoke.. if the lads on the fringe cannot cope with this shower then fuk them off.

EDIT.. that is if Vinny is actually injured btw, even if he is a slight doubt then rest him and see the above post.

MAN CITY LATEST

The City captain felt a tweak after executing a superb challenge on Lionel Messi during his side's 2-0 defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday, but played on for the full 90 minutes with centre-back partner Martin Demichelis sent off before the hour mark.

Kompany has worn heavy strapping on what has been a problem area for him in the past and was monitored closely by City's medical staff during training on Thursday morning.

However, the Belgian came through the session at Carrington unscathed and is now set to start when his side host Mark Hughes' men at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.

City are still without Serb Matija Nastasic due to an ongoing knee injury but Micah Richards, who has not played in the league since the loss to Sunderland in November, is being considered as potential cover as well as Martin Demichelis and Joleon Lescott.

Nastasic has not been able to return to training despite initial hopes that he could be fit for the visit of the Potters, while Sergio Aguero is still recovering from the hamstring injury that kept him out of the loss to Barca.

Doug's training report doesn't mention Kompany and the above's only from Goal.com who are hardly the most accurate of sources, but I hope this is true.

One of the best sources

We need a quick centre-back v Stoke because they have Odemwingie. Good player. Hopefully we'll have too much going forward to make it a crucial miss. Doesn't sound like too long term an injury.

Assaidi is out on the other hand, and they can't use Guidetti (Like they would anyway.), so i would personally give him a rest if it's the case.

Richards? Only Joking!
How about we just don't give the 6 fingered cunts the ball and we won't have to do much defending, that way Vinnie can have a rest.

I'm no physio but you don't run off muscle strains as is being suggested by Goal.com. If there was any sign of a tweak in his hamstring he wouldn't have been anywhere near training and instead he would have been in the physio room receiving treatment on it.

Could be a muscle spasm or cramp. We don't know

Barca had a full back who played on with a hamstring strain.

Remember City has lost Demichelis so Kmpany will have felt compelled to stay on. Doesn't sound too serious anyway

Don't underestimate the threat from Stoke though in that position. Odemwingie is a very good player. They also have another forward who they bought and who played very well at old Trafford before he went off. But I forget his name
