You can't help but admire the man,he's a fantastic role model for any young footballer,and lets face it role models in modern football are few and far between!Just wish he could get more recognition for all the good work he does,be nice to see it in the Daily Mail instead of endless photos of footballers on the beach

The defining moment for our season, apart from the obvious, is this:
Kompany bangs his header in against United. He celebrates like a madman for about 20 seconds, including nearly jumping over the East Stand. Then he gets up, sets himself, and marches back to the half way line like a warrior going into battle. Stern faced, determined. One minute later he walks down the tunnel with that same expression: a gladiator.
What a magnificent professional. A true footballing hero. Even in the tunnel after the QPR game he said "I never stopped believing".

Some people have holidays to put their feet up and relax, but maybe this is Vinny's way of relaxing. This might just be his way of taking a holiday.

I love the way he's started turning his back on the camera in the tunnel before each match and staring down the team-like a personal challenge to all of them, 'don't let me down!'
