Vinicius Jr - Benfica Incident

Fuck all about me calling out racism, I was merely pointing out the difficulties of proof.

Just so you know I was a member of the anti Nazi League in my late teenage years and wore the insignia of Rock against Racism so please don’t try and lecture me on something I’m very aware of. I’m also involved in a Charity which provides for people regardless of background or religion.

I hate having to post that, feels like saying “my best mate is black” which would be untrue but go ahead, put some spin on it and make me Tommy Robinson the second.
I will leave you too it, if your so educated on racism, it makes your comments even more baffling.

You're not just "pointing out the difficulties of proof" though, we've all read your comments.

You said Mbappé was lying when he said he heard it. What's that got to do with pointing out the difficulties of proof?

Then you claimed they don't speak the same language, despite all 3 speaking fluent Spanish. Again, What's that got to do with pointing out the difficulties of proof?

Then you started throwing out insane counterfactuals like "Maybe he just called him a ****". That's nothing to do with pointing out the difficulties of proof.

@Superace is right. From the moment the incident has happened you've tried to twist absolutely everything that's come out to discredit the Real Madrid players and make excuses for Prestianni.
100% agree with every word here.

For anyone who isn't completely on his side in this and finding it completely fucking appalling that a black player is being racially abused on a pitch in 2026 then watch his interview for Madrid where he's absolutely distraught. That might give you an insight into the human being behind this and the toll it takes. It's unacceptable, regardless of whether he's a **** or not, celebrates in front of the opposition fans or not. There are no excuses here.
Great point. Vinicius may well be a **** but there are no excuses for racism. It’s interesting that the Suarez case was the total opposite. Because he was also a total **** everyone assumed he was racist….apart from the racists at Klanfield of course.

I would be interested to know if others on the Real Madrid team are getting the same level of abuse. I'm torn with feeling pride because Vini is willing to be the target man for this shit versus the understanding that he is an utter asshole almost 100% of the time.

It’s a self-fulfilling cycle at this point. He’s spoken out about it a bunch of times, he’s shown people how much it upsets him, he said in a press conference a few years ago when it was almost weekly in Spain that it had gotten so bad he thought about quitting football.

So now racist fans see it as an easy way to get at him and provoke him so it falls on him much more than anyone else as they think he’s vulnerable to it.

Dream scenario if Pep does another 2 years and then Vinny takes over.

Or we have a Pellegrini figure inbetween so he’s not held to Peps standards.

My dream scenario too, I'd obviously love Pep to stay longer but if he is considering leaving, we need to find a way to knit this outgoing with Vinnie's incoming.
