Vinnie's Goal v Leicester.BBC 5 Live.

of course the Liverpool lovers aren't going to look happy at the vinny goal, had they been city fans they wouldn't if it was other way round. Its just the fact that they are all over media / tv / radio, this we know.
I started watching footy on tv in the 70s, you didn't get that same arrogance of dominance with bbc for their favourite club. It will carry on though.

Must say how awful football is to listen to on the radio, had to listen to city vs arsenal in the car whilst travelling. The commentating was useless, it was as though they just happened to be at the etihad so they might as we throw in the odd "1 nil to man city" but spend most the time talking about where some of the players have been, great goals over the weekend, some footy in Europe. It was advertised as live commentary, at one time I thought the game had been held up as there wasn't a mention of the ball being kicked, or whos half it was in or who was on the ball. Crap !

This one?

Yep, that's a wonderful shot. You've got two eras overlapping there — the Vin era, the Pep era. I've got that on my computer desktop, along with the iconic one of Merlin leaping like a salmon and raising his fist with the floodlight behind him, having just scored that sublime goal at QPR in late 2011 (one of the best I've ever seen — he wrongfooted the entire QPR defence, along with most of his teammates). I don't quite know what happened to the idea of personalising season cards (season cards, what are they?) but I put the Merlin one on mine when they allowed it, and I would put this one on mine if they allowed it again.
However, what I like most about it is what happens immediately afterwards. Because although Vin's the captain, and he knows he's done something extra special, he's going to shake Pep's hand. This is the boss, after all. Pep's having none of it. They go into a bear hug. A beautiful moment.

I love the Cates video. The goal was a thing of beauty, and the reaction just as good.

I went totally mental at this goal. Literally went dizzy and had to sit back down, thought i was gonna pass out.
The aguerooooo moment was more one of utter relief and emotion but the Komps goal ... wow

I had talk sport on amd prior to the result it was all "what will be the repercussions of City losing? Then the result is announced and all they could say was had City lost these would have been the repercussions - and just repeated themselves!
Remember Andy Jacobs, prior to the game, going mad at Jim White about going on and on about Liverpool all the time. He said and I’m paraphrasing here, ” I can understand where Pep is coming from and the City fans, there are more teams than Liverpool Jim” very awkward moment for Mr shouty man. I’m glad some fucker pulled the sycophantic twat up.

If you remember at the time he was heavily plugging a show about Liverpool winning the league that year.

Whoops.
