I was about when it kicked off and to be fair the English fans were just singing at the old port and were a bit boisterous and there were a couple of bottles thrown at one of the buildings (they're selling beer in boxes of bottles ffs)

French police in riot gear turned up and decided to throw a bit of tear gas around and move them on, which is when there was a bit of sporadic fighting and much running around.

Pretty non event tbh and totally unavoidable but I guess the police felt they needed a show of strength....
