I would wait until the summer and go for Alderweireld or Koulibaly.

You know what, I think Alderwerield is more realistic than it was at the start of the season. Spurs can't afford his wage demands. I could see him being tempted.

I believe he has choose Liverpool knowing he will be there main man in defence, they have shown belief in him for awhile.

City’s interest has probably increased the price and possibly his wages.

Worse thing that could have happened is that it could have dragged on, so if this is the case then good it has all been sorted now.

Great player but I can’t help but think it’s the system that’s the problem at Liverpool rather than the individuals.

They’re like us under Pellegrini in his last season. No noticeable defensive organisation and no one in front of them to help them out. Plus I don’t think he has enough experience to help organise them on the field.

We have rarely used it because Kompany, Stones and Otamendi have not been fit together.

We have rarely used it because it steals a player from the midfield or forward line, which is where we do the business. Fernandinho plays the third CB when needed, as he slots in between the two CBs when the two FBs are playing in wide midfield roles.

They might be serious title challengers next season with a decent goalie and VVD. Honestly i was never too big on VVD. We can do better. Plus otemendi and stones are a very much established cb now with kompany to support them. We do need a replacement for mangala but that can wait till summer when there will be a bigger pool of players to target.
