I've read mixed reviews on this but it promises faster broadband than sky and bt. I'm looking to can Sky but still want to be able to get all the sports channels. Don't want to get tied in to broadband that is no better than I've got now though. Any virgin customers on here?

Yes.
Broadband is excellent.
Cable is by far the best way of getting it.
Can't comment on TV cos i don't have it.
Get good family deals on mobile too.

We have TV (Tivo), broadband and mobiles with VM and after a shaky start with their customer service dept, they've been pretty good. A little expensive mind, and since getting a Kodi box we've scaled back our telly plan. They do like to call you regularly and offer new deals and upgrades, but as long as you can be firm with them they tend to get the message.

Virgin broadband all the way, run a PC, fire stick, tablet & up to 3 phones depending who is at home on it with no problems.

Also as a Virgin customer you get really good value on mobi deals.

Virgin is brilliant for internet, but I'm sick of the TV. Considering switching to sky for basic telly package, virgin for internet and Kodi for sport. Virgin telly is just very slow, and sky is slick in comparison.

I would steer clear at the moment. Virgin Media Area 20 covers a large portion of Manchester and the peak time speeds are terrilble due to oversubscription. Same with some areas in Stockport, and many others around the country. I would have a look on the Virgin Media help forums. Join up and ask the question on there. They will help you with info about your area.

They are apparently getting my area sorted but keep pushing back the fix date months at a time.

i have VM broadband and M+ tv package. £36 a month. I watch all sports through Kodi.
I understand that the broadband as single package is £28 or £20 if you add a tv package.

Just this week I've had Virgin fibre installed, Sky will be switched off later this month so will just have BB, no phone, no TV - Kodi and mobiles will suffice for that side of it. Speeds are awesome so far, averaging 95Mb/s.

Been with virgin for.3 years and the internet is top draw ...pay for 50 meg and get 50 meg in every speed test I've done even at peak times..also got a SIM only deal with them...unlimted mins and texts 1gb data 8 quid a month...no brainer
