I thought the TV adaptation of The Passage was okay myself, the third book in the trilogy however was a let down, it didn't seem to know quite where it was going and got a bit too holy joe for my liking. God knows when we'll see the second book televised.Plenty of good end of days books and films/series, pity Fox made a bit of a dogs dinner of The Passage by Justin Cronin as it has the makings of brilliant TV
Cracking film. Although Natalie Portman's English accent is, er, different.Watched V for Vendetta last night. The idea of a virus being created and spread by the government to instil fear in the populace, and enabling the rulers to impose curfews and new legislation struck a little nerve.
That was the result of nuclear war so not quite a match.
The wife was watching Contagion from a recording the other day and it's quite eerie, as watching it the first time, you tend to think it's all made up just for cinema. It really hits home watching it now.
Never mind the films, what we need is the antidote.... something like by accident finding out having sex twice a day stops infection. ;)
