Visa paying Companies to go cashless

I just value my privacy.
Everyone has a right to value their privacy and its none of their fucking business.

I'm still fucking skint
Naaa....I'm getting tired of this Gap.

For a guy called Steven who is interested in privacy, I'm surprised you are on the internet, telling people you are a gym rat and where your ticket is at the Etihad. Beyond that, you are also a low income wage earner who is, apparently, tired of shopping at the the Gap! ;-) All from one post.

Give me a picture of your face and with facial recognition software, and about an hour, I would probably tell you where you live, work and shop!

Privacy is an illusion. People are paying for, and stealing, as much information as you give out and selling it to anyone who wants it. You are a commodity to them...a marketing target, albeit a skint one of seemingly little value. So, don't worry, you are not the target of Visa.

However, to think that your health care isn't already rationed based on some of the lifestyle choices you have made in your life seems a tad naive.

Not to worry, though, those rich fuckers who get everything for free will be happy to sell you whatever you need to soothe your savage beast! THAT is the marketing you really need to worry about! Booze, cigs, holidays, latest trends in gear (both clothing and electronics).

The world owes you nothing, and it doesn't give a fuck about you or how you feel about that. It won't change, so accept it and act accordingly...whatever that entails for you personally.

True.

Tesco know what I buy at Tesco and when I buy it. But they don't know why I buy it, why I don't buy other popular items, who I buy it for, and where I buy everything else.
They have loads of info, but not necessarily any way of joining the dots.

They will buy data from other retailers, they share data. Its in the terms and conditions of being a member. CCTV will tell them when you are lingering, looking at products considering a purchase. They can then send you a coupon to try and sway you into buying the item. We are all put into marketing brackets so they can target you to spend more with them. CCTV also has facial recognition so you don't even need to be a customer or a card holder.

Wrong.

I just value my privacy.
It's my human right to not want corporations knowing what I'm doing.
Has nothing to do with legal or illegal activities.
Everyone has a right to value their privacy and its none of their fucking business.

I can see it In years to come, the bloke who would go for a cheeky pint a few times per week, in a cashless society, when he hits 50 and has health issues, The NHS will then turn around to him and say:
"Mr John Smith, it shows your purchase history here as being what we define as a heavy drinker. Thus you will be placed lower on the waiting list for surgery, left to rot on the hospital corridor and not given a proper treatment you piss head"

Whilst the Rich continue to avoid tax and pay a low percentage, with no punishment as they can afford a decent legal team.

Us working class poor bastards will be punished for Tax "evasion" and thrown in prison or whatever.
William the Window Cleaner will have his hands chopped off for not declaring the £5 he took off you for cleaning your windows, yet Prince William with millions in offshore income won't have anything said against him.

Fuck Them All.

This is probably the main reason why I'm starting to go off football.
This big divide between the rich and the poor, more evident in the sport I love.

Seeing mega rich owners stashing their money elsewhere, players on crazy money, yet I'm still fucking skint, paying them a higher percentage of my income to watch them.

With you on this one

You really think all of the above happens now?

All but the facial recognition. This is possible, but would currently break privacy rules, unless you had agreed to the data's use.

Funny how the one defending the companies actions probably gets paid by similar companies to do their tax avoidance.

All a bunch of thieving bastards, and yet they get away with it as they have the money to.

One rule for one, another rule for the rest of us.

When you die, you don't take a penny over there with you.

Defending what? What are you accusing them of? Which companies are you accusing?

Try and be a bit more precise so it's easier to work out whether we should agree with you or not.

As for when you die, you're bang on. When you die there's fuck all, so enjoy the time you have. It's as good as it's ever gonna get.

They might send me a coupon to sway me to buy the item. Oh dear.

Everyone carrying a smart phone is telling others where you are at all times. Digital posters can be changed as you pass by, to market directly to you or the biggest marketing type group in the area. Marketing works on you subconsciously. Its tested and proven. People get paid a lot of money to keep you spending on things you don't really need.

Not if you turn everything off they can't unless they are the government.

I always have some cash on me but also use a card. And paypal. And contactless. A combination of them means I can use a pc to order stuff and buy a cup of tea when out.

I've posted it previously on here and was ridiculed by many of the Atheistic group of BM'ers

I don't need to repost it, whether you accept it or not, all will be revealed when your physical body dies.

Back on topic, I actually do use contact less payments and don't mind doing it but I also like the choice to use cash, and if I wish to keep my anonymity when buying something, I still can do.

Anyone who refuses to see the darker side of this move really are kidding themselves. If you use contactless, then good for you, but please don't for one second think this has anything to do with the consumer.

Correct its so your money stays in the Banks a little longer. You get used to spending on credit. It lowers costs for governments and sellers and prevents a cash no tax economy. On the positive side it might prevent the spread of germs and stop people getting so many colds.

I wonder if there were people complaining at the time when they were told to use a round piece of metal to pay for something instead of a piece of animal skin or some barley?
