W**kers in pubs with kids.

It's nice to have a Sunday lunch occasionally with the whole family at a pub, but the problem is when couples think they can basically go on a daytime bender like they did before having kids and pass it off as a family day out just because there are swings and a slide in the dog shit strewn beer garden.

While were at it, who are these wank..s who keep bringing their kids to the football.
First we dedicate a stand for them, then we have an overspill into other stands.
Frustrating when your in the bog trying to have a smoke or line of coke and children are about!
It was bad enough when i quit swearing at & fighting with visiting fans - soon it won’t be worth going and i’ll just watch the football in a nice quiet pub…….oh wait

They even demand the shirts of the players on placards too.

Time to fuck them off.

Makes me miss that little Island of joy

In my local a couple in their mid thirties, are in 5 days a week Mon - Fri from 3.30pm until approx 8.30pm.
On a weekend they alternate as to who goes in on which day.
Unfortunately they take their 9 year old daughter every day Mon - Fri, straight from her school and then they each have her in the pub over the weekend.
Certainly when I`ve been in when the footie season is here, the young girl is always there so I have witnessed this, but lots of other regulars have told me the same story.
This young girl of nine years of age must have no friends outside of the classroom. Her biggest friend in the pub is her drawing/colouring book and pencils along with a doll.
Unfortunately this is not a wind up on my part.
Truly disgusting but as long as the girl is out of the pub by 8.30pm then she is not breaking any house rules.

Yep.i remember those days...
Back in the day turning 18 and being allowed in your local was a rite of passage, even though in truth, most of us were chancing it at 17. The landlord knew, but there was a gentleman's agreement. He knew my old man and I would never have disrespected that trust.
Nowadays there's 4 year old kids running around pubs like they're on crack.
I just avoid.

I lived in Bournemouth for a while, our Neighbours we’re a crazy family of Mancs (all Rags) they had three older sons and this one poor little girl problem ten years junior of the youngest brother. It was heartbreaking what that poor girl had to deal with, her parents and the whole family were full blown alcoholic psychos.
