Walcott admits diving to try and win a pen

I've looked on a few new websites and I can't see articles.

Please don't tell me the media are going to gloss over this for their little darlings???

I'll be raging.

At least he admitted it...thousands of footballers have taken a dive to win a penalty, and thousands more will...its refreshing to hear someone own up to it. Fuck, Micah takes a bow every time he gets in the box

should make this diving and moaning at refs as unnacceptable as throwing bananas on the pitch

Fucking discraceful, Arsenal should be kicked out of the FA Cup and heavily fined

You should get off your high horse. Professional footballers cheat if they think they can get away with it. Even squeaky clean Gary Linekar dived twice against Cameroon to get penalties - he admitted it by the way so don't have a go at me if you're an England fan.

What got me was Wayne Rooney coming out with I don't dive, when he is one of the more obvious and frequent divers I have seen. That is something I really disrespect about the man - you cannot believe a word that he says, in his professional life or his private life.

Oh my God that is disgraceful. That really is shocking. I didn't realise he had been jovially chatting about it as if it was the done thing "Oh I had a laugh with some of the Leeds guys about it". Pillock.

Right, Sunday supplement is being set to record on Sky+ and I hope that they dedicate a good 15 minutes to discussing how Arsenal are cheats.

Re: Walcott admits diving v Leeds today

Fair play to him for admitting it, and apologising. Also, to be fair, his team were on the verge of being dumped out of the cup and the chance of a trophy going, can't really blame him too much for trying to do something about that. He got away with it, and that side of it is the ref's fault and not his.
Doesn't excuse a poor decision from the referee though. Yes you might say it makes up for the last one he maybe should have give but two wrongs don't make a right.

how is it the refs fault he was trying to cheat ???

the game is hard enough to ref without people cheating, be competative but fair. Dont see what defense you can have for him

Yes we know it happens but to blatantly admit/brag about it is admitting I cheated. If you don't get caught , well lucky you but to not get caught and then blag post match warrants some penalty.
We all knew Jurgen Klinsmann was a diver but he never went and gave an interview admitting it
