Apart from the two held in England we’ve got a pretty abysmal record at the Euros, full stop. Up until ‘96 we’d only actually ever won two games in total at Euro Finals.

I genuinely haven't heard a single England fan seriously claim were going to win it.

Me neither. Not one. On the contrary, everyone I know of -friends/family- have been typically self deprecating about it, not expecting too much.

But in the highly unlikely scenario that we do win the W.C. I don't think the players will be in the dressing room shouting and jeering, laughing, celebrating because the Welsh went out.

I remember one opportunity where he could have squared it to Phil. The wife was fuming and giving it to Rashford blue style. However as usual I was the voice of reason and suggested that you couldn't blame Rashford for taking the shot on because we were 3 up at the time and he was on for a hat-trick in a World Cup and not many players get that opportunity.
